Which community
Province is the one age-qualified community in the City of Maricopa (Pinal County, zip 85138). Copper Ridge, next to it, shares the name in some listings but is all-ages; Desert Cedars and the city's other subdivisions are all-ages. The overview is the Province overview.
Who can live there
Anyone can buy. Occupancy follows the association's age-qualification policy under the federal Housing for Older Persons Act: in general terms, a resident age 55 or older in at least 80 percent of occupied homes, with the rules for younger spouses, adult children, caregivers, guests, leases, and heirs in the recorded CC&Rs. Is Province a Del Webb community?
No. Engle Homes built the original phases and Meritage Homes completed it. Third-party sites that say Del Webb are wrong.
What is the 80/20 rule?
Under federal HOPA rules, at least 80 percent of occupied homes in a 55+ community must have a resident age 55 or older, and the community must publish and enforce policies showing that intent. Each association's documents handle the rest.
How much is the HOA in Province?
This site does not publish assessment amounts because the association changes them. Call the Province Community Association at 520-568-5316.
Is there new construction in Province?
No. Province is built out. Every purchase is a resale, including near-new homes in The Preserve section.
