What Is Daily Life Like at Province?

A typical week

Morning lap swim or a group fitness class, pickleball on the courts before the heat, a club meeting in the Village Center, an afternoon on the lake path or the putting group, and in the evening trivia, bingo, a concert in Town Hall, or a social hour. The association calendar posts it a month at a time on its public website, so anyone deciding whether to move here can see a real week before they commit.

Fitness, pools, and courts

The fitness center has weights, machines, cardio, movement studios, group classes, and two locker rooms each with a steam room and dry sauna. The outdoor pool and the indoor heated lap pool with a detached spa run water aerobics, lap swim, and water volleyball. The lakes

Twenty-five lakes and ponds, six waterfalls, 50 acres of stocked water, catch-and-release fishing, two lakeside ramadas, and the paths that follow the shoreline. A bird walk group and a radio-control sailing club use the water too. See the lake program.

Clubs, classes, and events

Roughly 75 resident groups across cards and games, crafts, performing arts, social clubs, special interests, and sports. Ceramics with two kilns, a ten-station sewing room, a library with a fireplace, a billiards room with three tables, and a Town Hall stage for the concert series. The full list is on Province clubs.

Beyond the gates

The Duke at Rancho El Dorado, a public 18-hole course, borders the community. The City of Maricopa has its own hospital with a 24-hour emergency department, and retail, dining, and services along the John Wayne Parkway corridor. The year, season by season

Maricopa runs warm, and the Province week shifts with it. From roughly November through April the community is at its fullest, with seasonal residents in town, the outdoor pool and courts busy from mid-morning, and the event calendar at its peak. In summer the day moves early and indoors: lap swim and pickleball at dawn, then the air-conditioned fitness center, studios, card rooms, and the indoor pool through the afternoon, with the lakes and shaded ramadas carrying the evenings. Out-of-state buyers often visit in winter and are wise to picture the summer rhythm too.

Where residents eat and gather

Inside the gates, the Lobby Cafe in the Village Center serves residents and their guests with indoor and covered patio seating, and Town Hall hosts the concert series, holiday events, and private rentals booked through the Lifestyle office. Lock-and-leave and seasonal living

Many Province owners live here part of the year and travel in summer or to visit family. Gemini villas suit that pattern: exterior maintenance and the villa roof are handled under the villa assessment, so the yard and structure are cared for while you are away. The staffed gate and the association patrol watch the community year round, and residents arrange guest and vendor access through the gate house. Single-family owners who travel arrange their own yard care.
