Outdoors, Province runs on water and courts: 25 lakes and ponds with six large waterfall features and 50 acres of fish-stocked water for catch-and-release fishing, plus nine pickleball courts, four tennis courts, two bocce courts, a half basketball court, walking paths, and two lakeside picnic ramadas, all per the Province Community Association.
The lakes
Twenty-five lakes and ponds thread through Province, fed by a reclaimed irrigation water system and accented by six large waterfall features. The association reports 50 acres of water alongside more than 50 acres of turf. The lakes are the community's defining landscape: the Village Center balcony looks out over one, the trail system follows them, and about one home in seven backs to one.
Fishing
The lakes are stocked annually and open to residents and their guests for catch-and-release fishing. A community bird walk and a radio-control sailing group also use the water. Fishing rules, including tackle and guest requirements, are the association's; see the lake program.
Courts
Nine pickleball courts and four tennis courts, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with resident pickleball and tennis clubs running play and leagues. Two bocce courts with a bocce club. A half basketball court and multi-purpose recreation space round it out. Court sports at Province are covered on the court complex.
Paths, ramadas, and the trail map
Walking and biking paths run through the community and along the lakes, with seating areas and viewpoints. Two lakeside picnic ramadas are available to residents. The association publishes a community map and a trail map for residents. The hiking and cycling groups (Heels on Earth and the Province Peddlers) organize outings beyond the gates.
What it means for a home
For a buyer or seller, the outdoor layout shows up in the lot. Waterfront lots, most of them in the original Engle parcels, carry a premium in closed sales. Lots that border common area or greenbelt are far more common and offer open space behind the home without the water. Corner and cul-de-sac lots exist in smaller numbers. The waterfront inventory has its own page: Province waterfront. The indoor amenities are on the Village Center, and the community summary is the Province community page.
